Whether from age or medical conditions, some women’s eggs are unable to produce a successful pregnancy. In these cases, eggs from a thoroughly vetted egg donor can be used for in vitro fertilization (IVF). Sperm and your donor eggs are combined outside of the uterus to create fertilized embryos. The embryos are then put into the womb of the gestational carrier to develop into a pregnancy. IVF has been used for 30+ years. It’s the most common method of medically assisted pregnancy, with the highest success rates.

The Oma difference
  • Work with the reputable donor egg bank of your choice. We’ll coordinate with them so the process is seamless for you.

  • We help you review information on egg donors’ health history, family history, education, and life story, so you can make the most informed decision.

  • Oma uses Oma Sperm InSight™ and our proprietary AI microscope, which together help our embryologists select the most promising sperm cell for IVF with donor egg.The microscope helps them analyze 20x more sperm cells than a traditional microscope in the same amount of time. Oma Sperm InSight is our AI technology that identifies the most promising sperm based on criteria from the World Health Organization.

  • Embryo incubation uses the latest technology that allows for precise control of the environment and maximum chances for your embryos to mature.

  • Pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT) to assess embryo viability is included and done with top partner labs.

  • Gold-standard method intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is always included at no extra cost. ICSI has a ~72% fertilization rate compared to ~60% for regular IVF.

  • No additional costs for extra blood work, tests, ultrasounds, appointments, or monitoring. The IVF with egg donor cost listed is the price you pay.

The full IVF journey with donor eggs

  • 1
    Comprehensive Diagnostic Testing

Go through diagnostic testing to determine if IVF with donor eggs is right for you. An Oma staff member will go over the financial side of the donor egg IVF process with you. Your clincial team will review your calendar, order your medication, and prepare you for your treatment.

  • 2
    Choosing an Egg Donor

Our donor egg bank partners have comprehensive information on their health history, family history, education, and life story, so you can make the most informed decision. Our doctor and staff are here to answer your questions and to help you understand the donor egg process, choose the right donor for you, and feel at ease.

  • 3
    Evaluation Cycle

During the evaluation cycle, you’ll take estrogen and we’ll use blood tests and ultrasounds to observe how your uterine lining is developing. This is a donor egg treatment process to see what levels of hormones you need to successfully prepare for the embryo transfer. This cycle usually takes four to six weeks.

  • 4
    Sperm Sample

Before you begin the donor egg IVF process, your partner (or the sperm donor) will provide a sperm sample in our office.

  • 5
    In Vitro Fertilization

The donor egg and sperm are combined to fertilize the eggs.

  • 6
    Embryo Transfer

This outpatient procedure doesn’t require sedation––it’s quick and often compared to the sensation of a pap smear. Any high-quality embryos left over can be frozen for use in future IVF cycles.

  • 7
    Pregnancy Testing

After the transfer, our team will administer pregnancy tests and other monitoring as needed to care for your developing pregnancy.

Expect better.
