Single Parents IVF & Fertility Treatment Options

Oma Fertility offers fertility treatment options for those who are pursuing parenthood as a single person. The conception journey for single people will entail many of the same procedures as it does for couples. It also comes with a unique set of decisions, extra steps, and legal and financial considerations.

When a fertility clinic isn't designed to understand those pieces, they're at risk of falling through the cracks. So at Oma Fertility, they're part of your care plan, built into our internal processes, and streamlined by your care advocate.

We’re on it.

Our staff is trained in processes common in single-parent fertility care, like with donor sperm or eggs.
We coordinate with third-party services so there’s less on your to-do list.
We’re here for all single parents. We partner with LGBTQIA+ welcoming sperm donor banks and other third-party services.

Fertility options for Single Parents:

Sperm Donation
This involves using donor sperm in combination with your own eggs during the IVF process. Work with a sperm bank to select the donor. After your selection, our team will help you to handle the sample. Your care advocate will guide you through every aspect of this process.

Gestational Surrogacy
Single parent fertility treatment can also include gestational surrogacy. This involves using a gestational carrier to carry and deliver the baby, with the egg and sperm coming from you or donors. A surrogacy agency will help you to match with a gestational carrier. After your selection, our team will guide you through every aspect of the IVF process.

Getting started

Every step of your fertility treatment journey should be clear and smooth—including the first step. Here’s how getting started works at Oma Fertility.

Schedule intro call
  • 1
Talk to a care advocate and fertility doctor
Tell us about yourself in our contact form. A care advocate will reach out to talk about your goals and history (they'll be your point-person going forward). Our fertility doctor will then review your goals and history with you and prescribe tests like blood work and ultrasounds to gather more information in order to build specific treatment plan recommendations.
  • 2
Review your care plan, costs, and financing options
Once your test results come back, your doctor will propose a care plan, answer questions, and adjust if needed. A financial coordinator will detail your treatment cost, a minimum and maximum for medication (you’ll pay the pharmacy directly), and financing options.
  • 3
    Begin treatment
We'll schedule each step of the process and coordinate with your pharmacy.
